BONE BROTH MADE EASY

Here is an easy bone broth recipe

You need:

  • A large slow cooker
  • 1 raw chicken carcass (You can use a cooked chicken carcass as well)
  • Vegetables of your choice (make sure they are dog friendly)
  • Water
  • Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV)

This can make up to five litres.

METHOD

Put the carcass and any veggies in the slow cooker.

Add some ACV and fill with water.

Cook for 12 hours and mash with a potato masher.

Add some more water and cook again for 24 to 36 hours. Make sure that you keep the water topped up. It is ready when all the bones break down and are all mushy.

Finally mash again and sieve out all the bony pieces. Preserve both these pieces and all the fluid separately.

Freeze the bone broth in ice cube trays and keep all the mushy bits to use as a dinner topper.

If you use this method, there should be no more bones left.

Making this bone broth can be a bit time consuming but you can also get Ted and Co bone broth powder that you can just add water to.
